Has anyone tried building a troll pit within the vicinity of their base? Instead of keeping sure you've covered all the spots within your base with work benches, you intentionally choose where the raid will spawn by leaving one spot - the pit - open for the spawn.

Is there a flaw in this logic? It's probably not full proof, and certainly not for flying things, but could it work as an alternative to keeping things out?
