That is not really masochism neither addiction.
That was a challenge and you were ready to accept it. You're a quite stubborn subject, so dying 20 times wasn't really necessary, but if you had fun and/or satisfaction of finally accomplishing it - very good for you. That is what most games are all about.

Keep in mind that dying removes some of your skillpoints(not each time, for as long as you have the skill removal prevention buff after first death).
