I wouldn't build anything there for several reasons, #1 being that the shape of the terrain might change in the major update. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2413967409
My little home from home in the Mistlands has been safe and sound for almost a year and given the rate of roll out from Iron Gate, it may well be safe for at least another 6 months to a year LOL ;)
@OP If you need a safe place to rest up near to a swamp and this is your only option, then go for it. It may be temporary, however a simple shack with a teleport ring is a much safer and more efficient way to deal with a boss when far from home.
Do note, though, that your Mistlands biomes may look different than this, OP. They are still 100% safe, though.
They recently updated the biome itself, so it is no longer very tall trees, bones, cobwebs, etc.; it's simply barren terrain now. (This was done in preparation for the actual Mistlands update, which will bring it from what it is now (barren) to a functional biome as we know them.)
HOWEVER.. I don't know about now, but prior to the update that made the terrain barren, the only unsafe thing about Mistlands biomes was that the Skeleton raid could still happen there. I don't know if anything at all happens in the biome now, or if the Skeleton raid can still occur.
If you're worried about Skelebros, though, just keep a mace on hand, or a 2-hander (Stagbreaker, or the Iron Sledge is better) in a chest there or something and you'll get a lot of free Bone Fragments and Trophies.
