They are not even the same type of genre.

you do everything in valheim that you do in NW. all the crafting, and mob after mob for resources, that are worth nothing. the only difference is the gear in valheim is worth making, the gear in NW isnt worth making, because its still worth 0 gold regardless of what the game tells you.
NW is a MMO while valheim is at most a limited multiplayer,
Valheim can be played with mods and cheats, singleplayer.
While NW is not that kind of game.
And to say "only difference is the gear" dont hold true, at all.
Are you also telling me NW have a world thats different from server to server? or is it a standard map? Since valheim gave seeds and tends to have different worlds were not one is the same.

Completely different game. Only similarity is they are played online with a lot of people. But to each their own, right? Most MMO's are identical in what you do in them. Most survival games are also the same. The new ones are "fresh" but after a while they tend to assimilate a lot of features.

NW is great with friends, not so much solo. The gearing is like Destiny and Vermintide which I'm not a big fan of. Valheim can be played effectively with or without which is why I prefer Valheim.
Valheim is a coop game not a full on multiplayer game, and not even close to been a mmo. At launch and for the longest while 8 people fighting a boss or even at the same server, was really unplayable. But i guess we define "lot" as a different number.
valheim is singleplayer to coop. and we all know what mmos are like 100s if not 1000s.
