well if getting them 'free' makes you feel bad, just make a stack of 50 silver bars, sail into the ocean, and drop them overboard. That way you wont have to feel so guilty.
But yeah, the journey is the real reward, and you won't feel very satisfied using claws you didn't actually earn.
