IIRC 24 hours into the game I had a couple buildings for my main base roughed in and maybe an outpost. I enjoyed the raids "Forest is moving" cause I had so many torches lit that I needed the resin drops. Had fun building my troll armour and then sailing. Have outposts on 5 continents in my first world and still haven't fought Elder yet. I used to make moats around all outposts. So digging all that took time. Main base there is fairly sprawled out now.

Started 2nd world, getting wood from 1st to keep it not having razed forests. My 2nd toon travels to first world and razes the forest on 1 of the continents, then uses to build base on 2nd world. Like the building and probably have spent 100 hours just building or getting wood to build.

Thats fair, i definitely enjoyed the feeling of learning to sail and knock out multiple trees at once. The matts i need are always so far away so after getting familiar with the nearby terrain it just becomes running back and forth. Really want to build a sick home base still so that may be my focus until i get into exploration mode. I'm not saying its boring by any means. Just need to actually get in there
