I dig that but I try to balance it with a level of practicality. Shame it doesn't always look the best when practicality becomes a focus :/

When I'm playing to play my bases are practical. Decor comes later. When i'm gathering resources I bring every thing back home. I dismantle the wood piles and the rock cairns I made and use them to build/expand/decorate while I'm smelting the ore I brought back.
