You have been misinformed. Caves are there, in the mountains, in the released version. I have found them on my map, while exploring new mountain areas.

trust me i circled around my build for weeks and found not a single cave wich was promised, to appear in not explored regions, and i got tired, cuz it now takes hours to walk to that places, because they are so far and i sunk so many ships and stuff otw traveling to them..

and after weeks not finding any of those caves, i was so frustrated that i gave up the game...

in the end i got back to other games, with a bad feeling to this game developmen in the backpack.

Various things to unpack from that:

1. If you experienced a lack of snow biome cave discovery and it was on a -NEW- map, that would depend on the randomness of the seed. However, there are plenty of tools with which to help you in your exploration or to save you time if you'd chosen to use them.

Perfect example of this is this website: https://valheim-map.world/

It can actually show you where caves should spawn on a seed. However...

2. If your map was one you were previously playing on before the mountain cave update was implemented, there is a likelihood that caves may have not necessarily spawned due to the extent of your exploration. This was talked about over and over again at the time of that update. You should've thus been aware of it then.

All in all this seems to be more of a user end issue than anything due to a lack of due diligence on your part to stay aware of the progressive development of an Early Access game. You are not yet entitled to experiencing the fully completed game and you agreed to that when you purchased(as that's what it means to decide to play an early access game... further supporting the lack of due diligence on your part.

So if rolling with and adapting to changes as they come is something you're unwilling to do then yes, as you imparted, moving on to other games has more merit for you.

I'm not invalidating your passion for the game that you've exhibited across multiple posts mind you, I'm just pointing out the seeming dissonance and offering other considerations for you to mull over.
