People that do this to themselves and then complain about it baffle me. I never did any skill up grinds in valheim, its one of the reasons the game is good-- you don't need to do that crap.

Troll vs bow. Dead troll. Just takes time to chew them down if you just got started in the forest. Trolls are a shade of blue that stands out. They are 30+ feet tall. They make the ground shake as they walk around. Its not like the things sneak up on you. And you can run away, but you need to get somewhere that it can't see you anymore to get it to go away. As long as it can see you, it will chase you. Anyway, just shoot it to death. They are infrequent, so once you kill one you almost always have a clear area to work in (still has GD, but troll free zone for a while).
