Actually I am referring to the Icon of Sin from Doom II. I'm sure the fireball sounds are used a lot too. If that makes you laugh out loud, good for you I guess?

Not like the Id guys were driving Ferraris yet when they made Doom, so no surprise they were using stock sounds, but I think thats more the norm for the entire sound design sector rather than an exception. What I am saying is that sounds get re used not only out of economic necessity, but also in tribute to previous work.
