Yes, in hindsight, knowing what the answer is, it's easy to pick it out. Until you know the answer, there's no reason to think any specific detail of the mass of vines and plant-growth is any more an exact clue than any other detail. Probably would be more obvious if the one on the pillar wasn't upside-down and looks like a three-petal flower when viewed from ground level. Nevermind the fact that the seed itself is not specifically associated with any creature, whereas the greydwarves, which are already plant-based creatures, both exist and have trophies of their own.

What do you mean by the seed not being specific??
It’s only dropped by one creature.
