It can though, all three things can be built independently of each other - which means all you need is five cores and some juggling. It's only one more thing to juggle than kiln/smelter. I have I think 13 cores (which means I can repair weapons and cape) and imo I'm basically done with the mistlands except for two more seals to take on the queen sometime and farming mushrooms.
