As long as I have a club and a shield, no troll is safe. Parry with shield as the troll starts its attack, a blocked attack will stagger it, then hit it with secondary ultimate attack move. Rinse repeat 2 more times, troll dies with 0 damage to Viking warrior. Other than my shield and club weapon, I could be naked and the result would be the same. I've killed 4 or 5 during an invasion and even took on 3 at the same time. I have used trolls to break up entire copper deposits and harvest core-wood. Even wooden arrows will bring down a troll in just a few shots. A head-shot with an arrow will stagger a troll regardless of the quality of the arrow. With a bit of practice it is easy enough to keep them off balance insomuch that they can be kept staggered until overcome by loss of life.
