I used to have that wherever I left a boat, not only in the swamp. After losing my umpteenth set of nails, I adopted a new policy: use the boat, break it down on arrival, rebuild it when it's needed. It does mean carrying the boat around in the meantime but, hey, that's a lot less troublesome than it would be in real life and at least I have a boat when I need it! It's also why I tend to use a karve until I have a handy-dandy baby base at the target location ...

Too much valuable stuff on the boat , I like the idea of going in and out pillaging and running out
