When they are young they tend to run away from enemies until they are fully grown, I've seen my 1 star pups do that a few times. except I breed them in the open, no pen, so they spread out everywhere. Also pretty sure I had 1 or 2 give birth while on a copper mining run when I took half a dozen with me to watch my back for grey dwarfs, lol. Came back a few days later & there were a few misplaced wolves roaming around attacking things.
