That's right, it's a wild pain Trying to kill a greydwarf on the slight incline in the black forest? You sure you weren't interested in just giving a few warning slashes above his head?
Wolves have chasing you down a mountain slope? Why not smack the mountain face beneath them a little?
Surrounded by little green men on the gently sloping plains? Enjoy seeing how close you can swing a weapon over the lil guys head.
It's baffling that the mistlands update adds another biome with verticality and yet this was not one of the things they added. I just did a new playthrough and it is a noticable annoyance at almost every stage of the game. It also complete ruins the viability of several weapons. Spear and aetgir primary attacks are pretty much unusable if the ground isn't perfectly flat. The swords secondary attack also. If you use an attack with a wider hitbox and it does hit but the enemy is elevated above you your damage will be reduced due to the multi hit penalty from also hitting the ground. I felt forced into archery or retreating to flat ground whenever the game threw enemies at me on uneven terrain.
I want to play this viking game like a darned viking. Let me slash down at the heads of my foes as I charge down a hill towards them. Let me look up and smite them as they rush down from the mountaintops. Let me stab them and not their stairs when we fight in a tower or dungeon. Is it too much to ask?
