I suggest you start playing Wurm Online.

It's the ONLY game where you experience a light breeze when you're in a hurry, making your boat trip 4 lasting at least 4x longer as expected;

OR

Give you a gale when you have to dock your ship in a tight spot; which is basically impossible to do.

After that, a boat trip in Valheim is a walk in the park.
