I have pulled in loads of stabilizing beams, inside as well as outside, so it SHOULD hold. But as i said it fluctuates rather nonsensically.

Wind has nothing to do with it.

Color gradients are related to distances from what is detected as a ground strength support.

Blue-grey would be ground strenth while red would be a demolishing situation.

There are a few videos on youtube about this you may want to take a look at.

Sometimes people -think- something should be more stable but then it gets pointed out to them that there's something missing in support or they placed something just a hair off, or the ground under a foundation floor is slightly lower and the foundation actually comes out green instead of bluegrey(thus anything supported above it is 1 quality support tier lower, and the list goes on.

And lastly it is also important to point out that structures colors will change within seconds after placement as the game mathematically checks the support variables connected to it.

In the past, iron beams seemed to have a longer lag of such detection(one of the youtube videos on discussing this points this out). This too may be a factor.

Without also seeing pictures of you structure from all angles and various distances to give height width etc dimensions relative to the ground, its difficult to accurately tell you what may be going on.
