I just tested the carapace buckler vs the shield, and the result: I died. Yipee, lol. I don't know. I parried the 1-star seeker once, and it worked, but I couldn't tell there was that much improvement vs. the shield. Miss one parry apparently and you're toast. Not sure I'll use the buckler that much.
