Valheim's theme is give and take.

You get better armor, but the armor takes movement speed
You get better food, but it takes more ingredients and upgrading a kitchen
you get potions(Mead), but it takes farming and time to make the Mead
You get the ability to sail, but sailing takes time and safety
You get the ability to teleport instantly, but takes your ability to travel with ore.
