Push the TAB Button on your keyboard to open your inventory. On the right side there are some tools you can build at first. Stoneaxe, hammer,.... build the hammer with some wood and stone. Then use the hammer to build a workbench. If the workbench is save (with roof and maybe some walls) you can repair your tools and your stuff.
The workbench will give you more options.
