Having zero issues with any other game or video application, but I'll give it a whirl anyway. Thanks for the suggestion.

EDIT: Shaggy you wonderful suggester person you. Whatever wild buried setting was causing the issue, a full reinstall seems to have done the trick. Can't believe it didn't occur to me to try that sooner. :)
