You can ask a troll for help. It takes a lot of patience, careful timing, and balls of steel (or ovaries of steel, I don't want to assume anything)

Just point out where you want the troll to pick by standing on the spot, and he will oblige. Just don't forget to move out of the way, or he might accidentally hit you.

Same thing works for fine wood.

with just a little practice this is easy peasy. soon you'll be longing for your trusty troll saw. protip: whittle em down to one shot em if needed.
