It's used exclusively to cheese portals because when people realize how easy it is to just go mine more materials, they realize it was a dumb mod. Not because there's other portal mods. Unlike portal mods too, this one works on other people's dedicated servers.

So you mine the ore built a smelter, smelt it. Built a workbench and a forge. Upgrade them to built an item that can hold enough metal that this makes any sens. Or transport a shi!load of lvl 1 items moving back and forth a few times. All to avoid the fun of simply driving your boat with a full load of ore for a few minutes. 🤷‍♂️
