All mods run the risk of issues at some point, especially when Valheim devs put out a new update. This is normal for games with modded content use. You either have to wait until the maker of the mod updates to accommodate changes or you have to remove the mod.

If you are very risk aversion oriented, then your best option is the multiple maps method.
