all maps are randomly generated. at launch for example, the trader was randomly placed somewhere and no direction was given in game that there was a trader. so luck of the draw if you stumbled upon the trader or not.

Why would they eliminate the best part of the game? The fact that a random map is generated to force you to explore and find things? I have literally never seen a comment complaining about randomly generated maps in an open-world game. For games like The Long Dark or Subnautica players *complain* that the map is static.
