As long as you have built a proper wall/moat around your area, 99% won’t path around them.

For the few that might (skellys and Draghr cannot drown and deep water does not deter them), you don’t have to worry. The only time they will come is during an “event” and they will go away as soon as it ends. They cannot climb onto your dock unless you have steps (which I always do). As long as you place a door on the steps, they cannot get in.
