i wonder how much "intentional" or how much "lack of time working on devleopment" this issue is about though, the scarcity and absolute resource exhaust is really the only thing that makes it impossible for me to understand where this game is heading its just bad/good/normal gamedesign logic.
need to deal with it.
and aslong as you are not 5+ people you probally can get enough ressources in 20 reallife hours to equip everyone even with the worse rng.
just so you know
trolls inside caves dont respawn either, just the outside once do.
so the changes to mistland would be out of gamelogic sofar.
only plants replenish normally in the gamelogic.
like glowing mushrooms in crypts.
clearly theres a lot of bandaided options like a belt providing the player "superhuman strength" and trees that dont grow back even if you leave the stumps to potentially regrow
where as you would simply have the option to destroy the stump and ultimately leaving no "roots" for regrowth for the purposes of building a base on said location
in this scenario, you have actual seeds for trees as an option rather than a system for regrowth "again, bandaided or intended ?"
i personally dont mind too much about trees if at all since seeds are stacking up in my base so far if i wanted to grow some back but its just one of many examples as to leaving the feeling of bandaided solutions for long term game development problems
