First time I saw that, I was in my boat offshore. The red circle didn't even overlap any land. I didn't know what it was, so I immediately turned downwind and got outta there... I suppose I would have had to deal with swimming wolves? :-P

Yes, that is exactly what happens. I've had the event twice while sailing. The second time I stopped the boat and picked them off with my bow. Great target practice.
