Taking a look at the change log I am disappointed. Not a lot of meaningful updates since March last year. Mistlands looks good but I think they should have had that out ages ago.

Might not been meaningful for you, but please don't forget that there are multiple other people that play. Where those updates actually was meaningful for them. And killing bugs is always meaningful in development.
Those bug fixes, Hearth & Home, and Mountain Caves are excellent updates, in my opinion.
The revamp of the food system is much better than originally.
Trying to fix the save issues have been helpful for a lot of people. Yes, sad to see worlds disappear due to bugs, but yet another reason for Early Access games. It helps devs to understand other peoples system and location bugs they would never have been able to find directly from a developer instance. Some other Early Access games even do clean sweeps all the time. Part of being in Early Access.
Some QoL updates (I know, not enough to some peoples liking, but QoL can come later and I'm sure they will).
Cross-play/Steam deck/future xBox console. Well, sometimes (re: all the time) they have to satisfy the investors (publisher.) Selling X amount of copies is not enough in business. A lot just don't understand that side of things.
Mistlands had an internal overhaul because they discovered the original game flow wasn't as good. That takes time and planning. On top of code changes. That is, in my opinion, a really good thing of them to do. Take the time to get a better results than just throw it at Gamers. And then hear a different drama-scream about bugs or pour design. It is a up-hill-battle in regards to some peoples opinion on how they believe everything has to be.
