All too often studios grow rather large, make a game and then you see all manner of layoffs and other issues. Keeping it small(and as the dev said) keeps the revenue in a pool with which to keep the standard salaries going. And while they have sold as much as they have, the dev points out that steam takes a sizable chunk the publisher representing them another, and then all applicable taxes and other such things. Not to say they dont have a good set of money in the kitty, its just they're thinking long term versus short term I imagine. tortoise vs the hare approach if you will.

Not expecting them to hire 10+, but hopefully 1-4 more. There's the old saying 'strike the iron while its hot!', Valheim is popular right now, don't lose momentum :).

Anyway, hopeful, not expectant. There's a bit of playability/re-playability and it is a game you can leave and come back in 6 months. So it'll work whatever they do, as long as it keeps getting updates/expanded (at whatever pace) I am happy.

Valheim is not an MMORPG. It's success doesn't depend on hype. Apparently though most of today's playerbase seems to think a games success depends solely on hype and the graphics. Sad times we live in.
