Difficult is ok when you start game and don't take too much time grinding for better gear.
I am talking about biome difficulty, It got super easy after swamps. With iron gear and ok food, you are almost invincible on all biomes execpt plains. And
And if you get in bad situation you can just build walls if you have some wood with you :D
Also AI ain't smart either and their pathfiding for example in woods around objects is bad.
Also yes I could play stupid by not eating good food and all that, but mehh!
I just hope that in future you could adjust difficulty, and I play with 2 friends so I can't use console commands to increase player count.
