Why should you have to mod the game to make it functional? It's the devs responsibility

The game is functional in terms of building. Got a huge base build around tall rock which sometimes spawns on plains. Built it without any mods.

This mod is useful in some situations only, like building under water or building protruding elements without building the scaffolding first.

And devs have no responsibility in early access. They create game, you give them money if you want to support it. Maybe they finish the game, maybe they don't and you will waste your money. If you don't agree with this you cannot do anything about it except of not supporting early access games. Simple as that!
