That's the reason the game now does multiple backups.

Default is 2, so I wouldn't really bother too much with it. It's added security from loss of data, and that can never be bad, right?

I hold 2 backups per day for a week, weekly backups for 3 months and monthly backups for a year for all my servers.
Some might think that's too much but it was already useful in the past.
With that amount of data the additional backups the server makes use a pretty huge amount of disk space without the need. Basically 3x the space it should be.

Sure i can delete the backups before creating my own and automate that in some way as a workaround but the easier and cleaner way would be just to disable the games own server backups directly.
