I did spot a 2 star wolf today near a boss summon area, so they do exist still.

Just git gud and wreck em. A few mobs should be no problem for a Viking.

I've had the opposite experience: raids seems rarer now than they were prior to H&H.My guess is nothing has actually changed.

I suspect they do weigh more than a duck.

It is however possible to die on the wrong side of a spawner with starred elite draugr camping the only route. That was an interesting corpse run.
