I just logged in to check out new update to find 460 hrs of work gonesave files and back up save files emptyso pissed as I really liked this game

I did not try to play a old savegame, you should anyway start a new map (to have the new ressources spawn)So yes a new map is intentional. If you cant load old saves ... thats a other question

Turn Friendly Fire on, or use the new butcher knife on them.If that does not work, then check the mods you have installed, bad mod = issues.

Yes its a bit weird, maybe it should switch places with the mince meat sauce as that one needs boar meat instead.

Perhaps the basic cooked meats: boar, wolf and deer are just too good? Either that or recipes like Deer Stew are underpowered.Either way I agree, something ain't right.

Agree not worth it

In case you have mods installed, remove/disable them, play the game and test. This worked for me, but may not be the case if you don't have mods. (in that case, check game integrity post update?)

I agree with seasons. It adds an extra sense of progress too.
