Yea there was a 5mb update for Valheim this morning.

Only steam doing stuff.

You will need unexplored areas to unlock all the new items. The devs mention Plains specifically in the most recent video update, but new materials might be spawned in other biomes as well.

They said anything outside of about 500 metres of where your character has physically been will be updated

I guess the seed as itself, I mean the boimes wont change. Only the new content on that will change. So if you use the mapviewer just to find a good startbiome it will still help you.

Will the new seed generate in the same way as the current (pre patch) build? Not sure if we need to wait for the seedviewer to update the algorythm or not (previous patches did change the world genera..
