It's cheaper now as an early access, the price will only go up as a full release, which will be some years away. Sales only come after that, when players drop and they need to still make money.

It would be nice, if IGS never does a sale for Valheim ever. Generally for all games. Would be less frustrating for those who pay regular prices and it keeps the value constant.
