the raids are part of the game and the reason you need to build defences for your base they get harder but also easier when you know what to expect they happen randomly and are boss specific if you do..

It depends upon how close you explored to the Mistlands when you last logged in. I'm about where you were, perhaps 20% and only in a single exploration path, as my Boss stones were somewhat aligned.....

If you go to unexplored region of mistlands, it should be okay. It may be slightly different from the intended experience, but on my own part I can say that even older world seeds should have approxim..

you should be able to equip your hammer and middle click above you or below you to remove either one. Least that's what i did when i accidently trapped myself.

I assume you can't bring out your building hammer to demolish the walls either. If you can still attack, you could try taking down the structures that way?

You are right. It is my only gripe with this games combat and many incl myself have already suggested to rework or fix this. Let´s hope the devs improve it, because it is quite handicapping sometimes..

The wisp light and the wisp torches don't do ♥♥♥♥. Say the ashlands causes burning, the equivalent item in ashlands would add wet effect but not actually remove burning.

Once you get into troll armor and black forest foods you'll never fear a tree again.. they are only dangerous until you get to BF. It is crazy though.. definitely have to be cautious lol.
