It's not a bad game to play with your wife. Don't expect it to grab you and pull you in. I got bored of it pretty fast, but with others to play with you might be able to play longer.

You cant prevent wooden structures decay in contact with water. The only not affected by this type of decay is the stone and glass. Build a stone dome and work inside

Stand on the boat next to the mast and beat on it. As long as you have room in your inventory everything should drop into it.Rebuild as needed

Depends on how it is stuck.You can try and get in and use only the paddle to try and move it from being stuck.Make sure you only 1 click it and not unfurl the sails.
