They said on twitter that the work on Mistlands begun in March this year. Considering the summer vacation that's about 5 months. They are absolutely not going to release 3 new biomes.

Don't care about this people anymore, frankly. They can be doom and gloom all day long. If it makes them happy... :D

The "saving grace" is that they are supposedly working on an entirely new game play mechanic included in Mistlands update.
