It's a single player survival game with co-op capabilities. NPC's are not in game due to the storyline currently but IGS is not done with the game because this is an "Early Access" title cur..

You can enjoy the game completely alone, but also with friends on a shared server. mods are more than enough available. there are no npcs, apart from one, the vendor.

In the meantime I've been using cwispy HD pack which looks pretty good, but performance is not as good as Willybach's HD due to the file structure.

Willybach said he recently got a new program that allows him to easily pack files into the new unity engine, so hopefully soon he said a few days ago.
