wild animals are the least of your troubles after a while. read the billionty posts on how to keep your base safe from attackers (esp log trolls)which boils down to one or more of- deep moat- private ..

Earthen walls will keep wild animals out. Because they are indestructible they are the best defensive measure in the game, but they can be costly in that it requires a fair amount of stone to construc..

The easiest way is to place workbenches, a Ward in the centre will alert you to base damage but its easier to place workbenches at each cardinal area, so you have a complete coverage over your base.Th..

Nope! its not the terraforming but weather a stricture like a Work bench Torch/fire/bonfire or (I think) as Ward covers the area

IIRC keeping an animal farm nearby should reduce the amount of wild animals in that area.

The world is procedurally generated and completely different every time you generate a new world. So there is not really a point to show you where my bases are on a map. It will be different for you.

Every map is different, where you set up your base is entirely up to you and the map you are on. I'd advise keeping it in the meadows and near a river or the ocean. Or are you asking more for screensh..
