Games dead. Road map was cancelled. The devs took the money and ran and used covid as an excuse. They need to atleast implement the steam workshop to let modders finnish the game.

Are you running any mods?

I just do daily backups of the entire Valheim folder in AppData. Highly recommended to do.

There is an alternative method for mining where you raise the ground to cover all but a tiny corner of the node, then if mining that piece leaves everything else below the surface the whole thing expl..

Just find Copper nodes that are not on inclines, even though it's easier to stand on the top of the hill and break it from there vs carving out around the entire thing. It's very sitautional.

Ignore the mod, it's not the issue. Dig depth is capped so if you're mining on a slope, and dig down to the deepest level possible, you will also create a slop--just deeper down than the original slop..

yes i agree you have hit base of ground terrain.. if you watch pickaxe nothing differs before or after hit.. just impact animation but no change

This ties into similar suggestions to allow rock and wood piles to act as containers for a limited subset of items. It would be a generally useful feature for the game engine.

My experience was always that night spawns will despawn and day spawns will stay until the next morning. I don't think it was ever intended they could be kept as pets.Do you run mods or did you then?

I think I figured it out. The area i had them in had really high walls. I moved them to another area with low walls and now all 3 are fine. Thanks for all the input.
