No. You should keep everything on you. Probably a mod issue. Either the server or you are using mods and the other doesn't or it's different mods...You get the problem. Disable all mods, and try again..

It's a good idea to swallow the base building pill and build a picket fence across your entire land. Enemies won't aggro the wall until they smell a nearby player, so a big wall can keep enemy spawns ..

that would mean you need NPCs to control. all you really need is a nice fence and a ditch on the outside of it (mote). That keeps everything out except flying creatures.

Since H&H they added some dream ones that are just too long... you get them over time but it is kind of funny. Like you get a few short ones then suddenly "wait ... what?" ha ha.

Anything important in the text is written in your lore book. The graphics are an artistic choice -- either you like them, mod them, or move on. Its not a photorealistic game, its a watercolor artwork ..

it's a stylistic choice, if you want better graphics download high res mods from the nexus or something

There's a couple of higher res texture packs on the usual modding sites, they're just data files you swap in over the ones in the game folder.

I think the graphic design is like that, it's an artistic choice.As for the texts, I agree, it would be nice if they required a "click" to close them.
