Maybe there's a translation problem with your hints and tips. You need to build a cooking station ontop of the fire. And then put the meat on the cooking station, make sense?

You are not the only dead warrior sent to Valheim. Why not have NPCs that are warriors just like yourself? They cooperate with you in order to better their chances of survival.Totally legit IMHO.

A chest should be able to store stuff, no matter how it is called. And it should not be hard to code it that way, since they already have the mechanism in the game.

You basically turned on cheat mode for him without putting in the cheat codes. Should've started a new game with him together and build up from the ground. Would be more fun that way.
