Without seeing your set up it's hard to say but I know I had, and may still be having, a hard time covering the spawn area around my lox. I was finding enemies and lots of small gaps in the workbench ranges. It just takes one bit of uncovered spawn area to spawn an enemy to walk around and disturb your tames.
