What exactly do you mean by server information?

As suggested by GunsForBucks, I read the Terms & Conditions on G-Portal's website. GunsForBucks is correct. There is nothing at that link saying they will be responsible to back up your data. They do caution the reader to be sure to read the terms and conditions for the specific services they sell.

For Valheim server hosting, the G-Portal sire says they will provide "50GB backup for saved games & configs." If your loss was somethin other than the first 50GB of saved games and configs, G-Portal has no liability.

Personally, I have only a vague idea of what they mean by that. I know what they mean by saved games and I assume "configs" refer to configuration files but I don't know if that is all the files necessary to run a Valheim server. Nor do I know the typical size of "saved games & configs." Were I interested in purchasing the service from them, I would most certainly find out.

It troubles me that, after the first data loss, you neither backed up the data yourself nor discontinued using G-Portal services. As for vanbushi's reaction to the situation, my father told me many years ago, "The only stupid question is the one you do not ask."
