Much like excusing nonsensical things "because fantasy," calling everything "strawman" doesn't make you "right" in the slightest. "I have no idea what 'strawman' means!"
"Strawmanning" is the act of presenting some unstated argument in place of that which was stated. Your argument was "it's okay because it's fantasy." I was refuting that argument by giving another scenario and asking if that was okay "because fantasy."
I don't know why you have the urge to even argue this as if you're in favor of it. You're not making any sense, and I really think you just want to argue for the sake of argument against anyone who's not 100% satisfied with how the game plays.
Back to the actual topic, I don't mind the enemies that swim after us chucking stones and whatnot, like the Greydwarves; we can at least hit them. When a skeleton is walking along the seabed and shooting the ship, that's pretty unfair, but it's also not hard to sail away from them. It the water is deep enough for them to be submerged, then it's definitely deep enough to GTFO of there without running into sand bars and whatnot.
It was of course a crazy super storm at the time out in the ocean with insane waves and fog making it super hard to figure out where the rocks and things were :P
Black Forest coastlines are notorious for submerged rocks that love to batter any viking vessels, so I can understand that. The only thing I hate more is sailing alongside plains in deep fog and accidentally beaching on the sandbars, and then hearing the laughter of nearby Fulings.
