Hmm.. yeah I'm noticing that if I go into a swamp and go murder happy (lvl 2 root armor and lvl 3 bronze weapons) I can clear the swamp in a few minutes to the point that it's completely deserted. That used to be impossible regardless of how good your gear was because the spawn rates were too high to ever totally clear it.
